For this project, I designed a brochure for DigiFest, focusing on both artwork and page layout, as part of my page layout course. The goal was to create a visually engaging and cohesive print design that effectively showcased the festival’s theme while experimenting with a combination of AI-generated imagery and traditional digital design techniques.
This project involved using AI tools (DALL·E & MidJourney) to generate custom visuals, which were then refined and integrated using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign to create a polished and professional layout.
The challenge was to design a festival brochure that
- Maintained a modern, futuristic, and visually compelling aesthetic
- Seamlessly integrated AI-generated elements with traditional design techniques
- Ensured a well-structured, readable, and dynamic page layout
To achieve this, I used AI-generated imagery as a foundation, enhancing and refining the results through digital editing and vector-based adjustments. The final layout balanced typography, imagery, and composition, ensuring that the design remained both functional and visually engaging.
To develop a design that fit DigiFest’s theme and branding, I
- Explored different AI-generated design styles, selecting imagery that aligned with the festival’s futuristic and digital focus
- Refined AI-generated elements manually, ensuring they met professional design standards
- Experimented with typography, hierarchy, and composition, creating a layout that was both visually dynamic and easy to read
Using a combination of AI tools and Adobe software, I worked through multiple design iterations, refining the artwork, typography, and layout for a polished final product. The process included
- Generating and curating AI-based imagery using DALL·E and MidJourney
- Refining AI-generated assets in Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator, ensuring quality and consistency
- Structuring the layout in Adobe InDesign, focusing on composition, readability, and visual flow
- Balancing text and imagery, ensuring a strong, cohesive design that guided the reader’s eye
After refining the layout and visual elements, I evaluated the design to ensure it effectively communicated the festival’s theme while maintaining a sleek and modern look. The final result was a highly polished, AI-assisted brochure design, demonstrating the potential of combining AI tools with traditional graphic design workflows.
